Well with the GOP-Teabaggers in charge of the House Tom Tomorrow will have plenty of 2011 material. But 2011 should remind the voters why they booted the GOP in the first place – and set up a nice 2012.
RUN SARAH RUN!

The blog authors are unapologetic progressives, but we welcome participation from intelligent, conservative commenters who are able - and willing - to make cogent arguments for conservative principles without resorting to outrageous lies, racist nonsense, ad hominem irrelevancies, or childish gay-bashing.
We're serious! Are you out there? Do you even exist? Please come on in and show us! We enjoy the sound of clashing opinions - without all the lying and shouting that too often accompanies political discussion. The well-informed and razor-sharp progressive minds in residence here look forward to engaging with you.
We really do!
"Reality has a well-known liberal bias." - Stephen Colbert
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." - Kung Fu Monkey
1) Sarah isn’t gonna run.
by Westies Rule December 31, 2010 at 4:19 pm2) America has spoken.
3) 2011 is going to be a horrible year. Pray they don’t opt to go for Q3!
4) We will start to see recovery in 2012!
5) We hopefully will see an audit FED.
1) – true but as long as she leaves the door open she gets all the face time and the viable candidates – if any – don’t.
by bvilleyellowdog December 31, 2010 at 5:35 pm2) Voters are fickle – the only thing they decided is that they did not like the economy – if the rethugs don’t fix it they are toast. (And adding huge un-paid-for tax cuts is a really really poor start.)
3) what is Q3?
4) recovery has already started – if slowly – if the rethugs get thier way it will be set back
5) LOL – read your pre-Fed history
1) Palin won’t run for president. She will continue to tease in order to hype her book sales, but she won’t want to take the pay cut that her candidacy would require. (I read today that Democrats are organizing to register and vote in Republican primaries in 2012 – for Sarah Palin, the weakest candidate.)
2) At the end of 2011, Obama’s approval rating will be higher than it is now. Congress’ approval rating will be lower, particularly for Congressional Republicans, because…
3) Congressional Republicans will shut down the government, like they did under Newt in the 1990s. It will make them even more unpopular than they are now. They are making the mistake of believing their own BS. Most voters don’t worry much about deficits. Check the polls.
4) Every sentient being knows that we are already experiencing recovery. “Stimulus II” (the lame-duck tax bill) will help a lot. Republicans are celebrating keeping taxes low for the wealthiest 1%, but it’s gonna bite them in the butt.
Happy New Year, everyone!
by graychin December 31, 2010 at 6:59 pm🙂 #3 is Oh so true. The GOP is so full of themselves – all the Dems really have to do is watch them self-destruct – and not hinder them in that endeavor.
